LP 8 Video Conferencing

This learning plan was pretty neat for me. I was sort of familiar with the IVC format of classes. I have had a few of those quite a few years ago. I was quite amazed at how far the technology has advanced. I liked that the room we were in had the two big plasma screens for viewing eachother. I also liked that we could actually see everyone and make out who they were. I also liked that we could share documents, anything on our computers, 3-d models, and so on.

I have learned so much in this class and really enjoyed it!

LP 7--Recognition Technologies

This learning plan was somewhat easier than the past few but I still had a few road bumps. The software had a few glitches such as spelling out the commands rather than doing them like it should. It definately will make a persons job easier if they know the ropes of the software and use it on a daily basis.

LP 6--Integrating Audio and Video

Wow...I really thought this learning plan was cool. I had no idea you could edit your sounds and put them into other files. I was very confused at first, like always, but after working with it and walking thorough everything I was able to do what needed to be done. I definately struggled with this learning plan.

LP 5--Digital Imaging

This learning plan was a cool one for me. I really enjoyed editing the photos once I got the hang of the program. I was totally dumb about photo editing and had no clue how to use any of the software. I learned alot on this learning plan. I did, however, take the assignments above and beyond what was required because I was reading too much into the assignments.

LP4--Imputting images

This learning plan by far was the easiest for me so far. I was very familiar with a scanner. I enjoyed doing this learning plan and I learned a few things about using the scanner in the classroom. I was really impressed that once you scanned your images it automatically saved it to your flash drive. That really was the only thing that I learned. I really like the fact that if you have multiple images the scanner will automatically feed them through the scanner. That really helps sometimes!

Well that is it for this learning plan!

LP3--Digital scheduling and PDA's

WOW! This learning plan taught me alot about calendaring and all the things you can do with it. I was amazed how you could send reminders, tasks, and set aside a "don't bother me I am busy" day! I thought that feature was pretty cool.

Working with the PDA's was kind of confusing for me. I struggled with almost everything. Once I figured it out, it came pretty easy. I really thought that the "beaming" was a really cool concept. I also liked that we could do something on the computer and sync it to the PDA and vice versa. That was really neat.

As you can tell I am definately not technology savy and I am really learning alot, so bear with me.

LP2-Fax and Email

Wow! I never knew that email could be so intensive! I was completely email illiterate now that I have learned all of this! I never knew that you could filter your inbox or create distribution lists. That sure helps when you are doing something specific.

Faxing on the other hand has been pretty basic. The only thing that I didn't know was that you can fax from online. I thought that was kind of neat.

Well this is all I got for you today! Thanks for taking the time to read!
